Helmsley to Rievaulx At 6 miles this is a medium distance walk that takes in some of the most peaceful and serene areas of the North York Moors. There are also plenty of off-lead opportunities for well behaved dogs. It’s an easy to follow route which starts from the Cleveland Way car park in Helmsley.

Arboretum walk at Castle Howard A lovely sedate stroll through Castle Howard’s stunning grounds. At only 2.5 miles it’s not overly tiring and provides lots of wide open spaces for your dog to run around in. Starts from the Arboretum car park.

Leyburn and Wensley A medium distance walk taking in some amazing views across Wensleydale. Lots of space again for your dog to run through the fields. Starts from Market Square car park in Leyburn.
