Professional, Trustworthy and Affordable Dog Walking and Home Visits

We are trusted by our clients for delivering excellent quality dog walks and home visits (comfort breaks). Our standard of care and reliability are second to none and we tailor our services to suit you and your dog.

Whether REGULARLY or just as a ONE-OFF, we can take your dog(s) out for a good walk in the country or to their local park, which ever you and your dog desire! Alternatively we can come round to let them out and feed them, play with them and give them some company.

Before we can walk your dog we will need to meet you and your dog at your home at which point we can discuss your dog’s requirements.

No two dogs are the same, so it is important that any walks are suitable in terrain, length and surroundings.

There is no charge for this meeting.

You can provide us with a spare key which will be kept secure without reference to your address. This is perfectly safe, convenient and it means that we can be called upon at short notice.

Higham Hounds is trustworthy and reliable, first aid certified, police checked and insured! 

Dog Walking

Higham Hounds has a few favourite country walks where dogs can run and play freely without any road/traffic dangers. These include walks within woods, by the lakes, along canals and in open fields.

Your dog will never be let off the lead without your express permission and unless it is completely safe!

If your dog is elderly, unwell or is just not up to a long walk, Higham Hounds can take them to their favourite local park or anywhere they will feel comfortable and have a great time.

Home Visits

We can visit your dog at home to let them out for a toilet break/feed/play time. We can give them a short walk to the local park, and can also check the house or even water the plants!

A home visit lasts 20 - 30 minutes.

About Us

Higham Hounds is owned and operated by Will Ross, a life-long dog-lover who wanted to spend his days working with and caring for dogs. Formerly a lawyer, Will's true calling was always to work with dogs, so decided to leave the rat race in pursuit of his dream1

Will gained experience from a young age working with vets in the UK and Germany, in an animal hospital, boarding kennels, dog daycare, and an animal sanctuary.

He understands dogs and strongly believes in rescuing/rehoming them if possible... after all, there are always so many looking for loving homes!

Originally from Scotland, Will now lives in Rushden with his wife Karen and two terriers, Sally and Bobby.
