Scotstown - Dog Friendly Beach in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire
This is part of a long beach, running down to Scotstown Head from Rattray Head.
It's a wild, windswept vista from the beach, including the lighthouse at Rattray Head, which flags up the hazardous sea conditions here.
You can walk out to it at low tide.
The beach itself feels pristine, backed by sand dunes, despite the proximity of the gas terminal by St Fergus, to the south.
