Kinblethmont - Dog Friendly Accommodation in Arbroath, Angus
At Kinblethmont we believe that what makes people happy is spending time together in a beautiful relaxing place whether it is for a romantic get away or for a big reunion. Our lovely estate is on the sunny east coast of Scotland just 5 miles from Arbroath. It has been owned and run by our family – the Ramsays for generations and is now a fully diversified farming business with arable crops, woodlands, sheep, renewable energy and holiday accommodation. We love being able to share it with our guests and look forward to hearing from you soon.
The West Lodge (sleeps 4+childs zed bed)
The West Lodge sleeps 4/5 in two bedrooms and a futon. As the old lodge house for Kinblethmont House it is at the edge of Kinblethmont estate about 1 mile from Kinblethmont House. While it retains its charming old fashioned cottage style it has a modern kitchen and electric shower and all the modern comforts that you need. There is gas central heating and a cosy log burning effect fire in the sitting room.
The cottage has a large private garden with mature shrubs and trees and also an enclosed section – ideal for small children and pets. We welcome up to 2 dogs in the West Lodge but you must pick up after them and make sure they are under control on Kinblethmont estate.
The West Lodge is set back about 5m from the back road to Arbroath. Outside of the back door is the enclosed area (approx 8m *15m) with grassed area and patio with outdoor table and chairs and BBQ. Outside of that is parking and a large garden. From the back of the cottage is the track that leads through woodlands into Kinblethmont estate. It is not the main entrance into the estate so it is only used occasionally by vehicles and is very quiet and peaceful.
Kinblethmont Barracks no 4 (sleeps 2)
Kinblethmont Barracks no 4 is a brand new conversion of an old detached estate cottage with open views of arable farmland. It is perfect for dog lovers or as a romantic rural getaway for couples. We welcome 1 large/medium or 2 small dogs in the cottage.
We are really pleased with this recent conversion with its cool contemporary styling , cosiness and practical details. The main features are its clever open plan layout, well equipped modern kitchen, and contemporary artworks. It is a perfect home from home for your rural escape.
To make the most of Scotlands natural ability to produce electricity from renewable sources we have designed the house to be run on electricity only. There is underfloor heating throughout and an electric fireplace that can be used with or without heat for a bit of extra cosiness.
There is a gravelled car parking area in front of the porch and a pathway all round the house. Around two sides of the house is an enclosed garden area with lawns and shrubs and a patio area with outdoor furniture and BBQ.
There are lots of walks on Kinblethmont estate- from the woodland walks to the walled garden to the viewpoint at the top of Kinblethmont hill.
