I started to paint pet portraits around 5 years ago, after painting one of my Jack Russell's (who are always a constant source of both inspiration and joy). I absolutely love painting dogs and never bore of the huge variety of breeds there are. I enjoy creating a piece of work that I hope both conveys the beauty and character of the dog and that the owner can enjoy for many years to come. Some of my previous commissions have been dogs that are no longer with us and the painting has created a unique memory for the family.



I tend to work from photographs of your dog and if you are local am usually happy to pop round for a visit, so I can meet them in person and get a better idea of their character, which does help me capture them in the painting.
