Wagging Tails - Dog Home Boarding in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Family Run Dog Boarding Company
Rosalind's teaching schedule had previously allowed us to welcome guest dogs during the school holidays when she is at home, giving us the opportunity to enjoy the companionship of a whole range of characters. Having welcomed a great variety of breeds into our home we felt that a Cocker Spaniel of our own would fit in best.
Now we're together and I work from home, we have finally been able to get a full-time dog of our own. Benji, a six year old black rescue Cocker Spaniel, recently joined our family from the Chilterns Dog Rescue Society. His elderly owners had decided that they could no longer give him the level of care that a lively Cocker required. With Benji it was love at first sight and he is now very much a part of our family.
We could not contemplate leaving Benji in kennels so I'm proud that through Wagging Tails and its network of carefully chosen carers, we are able to offer fellow dog owners a service that allows them to go away knowing that they are leaving their dogs with people who will give them the home environment and dedicated care that kennels simply cannot provide.
With Wagging Tails - Buckinghamshire you and your dog(s) will first go to what we call a "Sniffing Out Meeting" at the home of the carer where your dog will be staying. You get to know them and their surroundings and they get to know you and your dog. This allows you to go away and enjoy your own holiday with confidence, knowing that your dog is having a great time too.''
About Our Carers
All our Carers come from various walks of life and are experienced with different breeds of dogs. They have all been vetted, interviewed and assessed. Where necessary our Carers are licensed by their local Council to comply with the Animal Boarding Establishments Act 1963 and are fully insured through Wagging Tails Pet Business Insurance. I match each owner's dogs with the most suitable carers and insist on a 'sniffing out meeting' taking place at the Carer's home before the board. I believe it is very important for owners to meet the chosen Carer to gain peace of mind and feel confident that their best friend will have a great holiday! I always aim to place dogs back with the same Carer for subsequent holidays, as the dogs and Carers build a strong bond.
We are very proud to be recommended by many Vets, Dog Trainers, Groomers and Owners.
Our caliber of Carers and dedication to giving owners' dogs a stress-free alternative to kennels makes Wagging Tails the ideal holiday home for all dogs, including rescue dogs, puppies (over six months) and elderly dogs.
Our Aim is to ensure that owners can go away safe in the knowledge that their dogs are being loved and cared for and for all dogs boarding with Wagging Tails Carers to get a holiday of their own, full of love, exercise and those all important cuddles!
“Being able to place our Cocker Spaniel in someone’s home rather than a kennels felt very comfortable. We were asked the right questions before we arrived, were welcomed in when we dropped Amy off, and when we returned from the wedding we were attending it was quite clear that she had had a fabulous holiday too! I highly recommend Wagging Tails. Diana, Penn, Buckinghamshire.”
“Dear Simon, I just wanted to send you a quick email to thank you for the service I received from you and Hector's dog carer Neal and his lovely wife and son. From the moment I made contact with you the communication and professionalism has been second to non. With a solid and easy payment system, letters of communication and the sniff and greet meeting I can not fault. Even when I showed a little concern about the gate system at the carer's home, this was investigated and improved to relieve my worry. I picked up Hector from Neal to be a shown holiday pictures and a video of Hector's stay, which was lovely to see. Hector has regular eye infections due to allergies and I left him with a rather weepy eye, but on our return this had cleared up, which reassured me Neal had given such kind attention to Hector during his stay. I must also mention Neal's wife and son as they both embraced Hector while he stayed, ensuring he received a very happy loving home environment akin to his own. This was obvious on our arrival to pick him up. I would not hesitate to recommend you and your service to others , although I am not keen on sharing Neal and his family, as Hector and I want to be selfish and keep them to our selves! Thank you once again and I will be back again soon with more dates for Hector to stay at Neal's . Kindest regards, Jane and Hector, Buckinghamshire”
