The Canny Group - Helping You To Enjoy Walking Your Dog

The Canny Group is a worldwide group of dog trainers and pet professionals who want to help owners enjoy their dogs to the full. We offer a small range of high quality dog products, including the famous Canny Collar, so that training your dog to walk well on lead is both easy and enjoyable. All our products are designed by experts and backed by our experience of dog behavioural education & training.

We work with organisations such as Guide Dogs UK and Ability Dogs Canada to help train and rehome dogs, plus training groups such as the Association of Professional Dog Trainers to provide them with the tools they need to achieve the best results. We regularly donate to rescue shelters, dog charities and local training groups to help them continue their fantastic work.

Why Choose A Canny Collar?

Easy to fit, simple to use - It's as easy as fitting your dog's regular collar. We use a standard, nickel-plated steel buckle and pin fitting for greater security and a simple line of high-quality webbing to control your dog’s head. There are no complicated instructions, just fit it and go!

Training, not restraining - The Canny Collar can train your dog to walk on a simple collar and lead with no pulling. By moving the nose band on and off your dog’s nose as required, you can gradually teach her not to pull at all, even when she feels nothing on his nose.

Your dog will accept it more quickly - Because your dog only has one piece of material over her nose and not several straps, she will accept this more quickly than other devices that are more restraining. She can open her mouth, breathe, pant and drink water wearing the Canny Collar as it does not keep the mouth closed when in use.

You can leave it on when off lead - No need to take the Canny Collar off when letting your dog run free – simply use the carabiner clips to fasten the nose band underneath your dog’s chin (snout) and away she goes.

Matching Canny Leads

We also offer a range of walking and training leads, including the Canny Lead and Canny CONNECT Lead. Both are designed to be used with the Canny Collar and feature a soft, padded handle and positional grip in quick-dry neoprene, indicating the correct position to place your hand when walking on a Canny Collar.

The Canny CONNECT lead has a strong, plastic buckle which can be released to open the handle. This means you can hook this around a fixed point such as a lamppost without ever having to detach your dog from the lead.

By not having to release your dog from her collar when tying the lead to a fixed point, your dog is safely attached at all times keeping her secure.

The Canny Lead and Canny CONNECT Lead can be used with the Canny Collar or as a standard lead on your dog's regular collar.

Canny Training Leads

Our new double-ended, multipositional dog training lead has 8 different positions for all your training needs:

Crafted to the same rigorous standards as our other Canny Leads, the premium quality nylon with interwoven rubber threads allow for a comfortable, slip-resistant grip.

The Canny Training Lead is waterproof, odourless and wipe clean. it is resistant to water and wear making it optimal for outdoor use. A training lead that stays strong and looks new, through adverse weather, mud, or a swim in the river

Canny Recall Leads

There’s nothing more frustrating than a dog that will not come when you call him. Whether your dog is apprehensive about returning or is simply happy to ignore you, either way it can be damaging for the relationship between you and your pet.

By gradually building up the distance between you and your dog, the Canny Recall Lead will allow you to teach recall safely and effectively, to eventually give your dog the freedom you both desire.
Features a strong, padded handle and two grips spaced along the lead to vary the length, plus a high quality clip. Available in 7m and 5m lengths.
