The barns were bought by the present owners (Guy and Sarah) in 2006 as derelict agricultural buildings. The barns were sympathetically and lovingly restored by Guy to ensure that the character and quirks of the barns were maintained - these features can be seen particularly in Hideaway Barn where, for example, the 'nooks' that would have housed the farmer's candles years ago whilst he fed the cattle have been retained....thankfully they are now lit by electricity rather than candlelight! Sampson Barn was made available to the holiday rental market in 2015 and we have had the pleasure of welcoming guests back to the barn for their second, third and even fourth visit in this time. Hideaway Barn was updated in 2018 and offered to the holiday rental market in summer 2019 - it has had its fair share of repeat bookings already!

The barn is centrally located with the towns of Penzance, St Ives, Helston, Hayle and Camborne all within easy reach. The stunning sandy beach at Praa Sands is 2 miles away and the iconic St Michael's Mount is just a short drive from the property. The dramatic headlands of Lizard Point, Godrevy and Lands End are all easily accessible from the barn and make a great day out with or without a dog to walk! The property is a 10 minute walk from the National Trust property Godolphin Hill, from which the 16th century Godolphin House can be reached. It is reminiscent of a 'Poldark' residence and really is worth a look.

Dog Friendly
Dogs are very welcome at both properties at no extra charge, The area is perfect for long rambles in the countryside, windy coastal hikes or just a short dash 'around the ponds' if your furry friend is not fancying a long trip out!

Excellent Location
The barns are located in a small hamlet within easy access of the major towns of Penzance, Helston, St Ives and Hayle. The beach is just a 10 minute drive away which means that you can enjoy the benefits of the coast whilst still enjoying your own space during busy months.
