Once a working bank in the 1970s and 80s, the building retains quirky features that make your stay both comfortable and memorable.

The Old Bank is run by Cheryl and Adrian, who lovingly restored the property with the help of family and local trades. Their passion for the area shines through, offering guests a true home away from home. St Bees is famous for its stunning sunsets, coastal walks, and proximity to the Western Lakes and fells, making it a perfect base for couples, families and friends.

The accommodation includes three double rooms that can be configured as king-sized or twin beds, plus a themed single room designed with sensory needs in mind. A travel cot and bedside are available. Guests have access to two bathrooms – an upstairs bathroom with bath, rain shower and handheld shower, and a downstairs shower room with electric shower. Both include WC and sink for convenience.

The modern kitchen is newly furnished and fully equipped, leading into a bright dining room with an extending table seating up to eight. A small utility room adds extra practicality. The lounge is cosy with an electric log-effect fire, corner sofa suite, and entertainment options such as books, board games and Wi-Fi – perfect for relaxing evenings in after exploring.

Although The Old Bank is situated on Main Street and does not have direct parking, free parking is available at the nearby station just 100 yards away. The property also has a small enclosed yard at the back, ideal for pets or enjoying a quiet moment outside.

Facilities provided include a fan oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, slow cooker, blender, and all the essentials for self-catering. Families are well catered for with high chair, travel cot, bouncer chair, and books and games for children. For four-legged friends, dog bowls, bed, towels, spare lead and pooh bags are ready for use, ensuring dogs enjoy their stay as much as their owners.
