Flying Childers Inn - Dog Friendly Country Pub in Matlock, Derbyshire

Flying Childers Inn landlords, Richard and Sophie, have relocated to Stanton-in-the-Peak and are the second generation to run the Inn (after taking over from parents Stuart and Mandy). Having grown up in Stanton (and the pub) Sophie has a wealth of experience in running both the bar and kitchen. Richard has brought his flair for bartending to Stanton, after over 20 years of hospitality experience.

Sophie and Richard have recently won the UK’s best pub for dogs at the Great British Pub Awards, and are keen to invite you and your four legged friends to come and find out why.

Lunchtime
Come and join us for a light bite and a drink! Bring your friends, dogs and children and enjoy a truly traditional country inn. Lunches served 12-2pm Wednesday-Sunday.

Evenings
Our fun and welcoming atmosphere offers a relaxed environment where you can unwind after a long day’s work. Available every night from 7-11pm.

The Garden
Discover our beautiful hidden cottage garden, with 30 seats to enjoy sun throughout the day. Seats up to 30 guests (plus extra seating on the green grass).
