Channel View - Dog Friendly Bed and Breakfast in Dartmouth, DevonChannel View is a fully refurbished dog friendly B&B situated in the coastal village of Stoke Fleming, which is less than a ten minute drive from the historic naval port of Dartmouth.
Having undergone extensive renovation work in recent years, it is our obligation to maintain the high standards that we believe we have achieved. All of our spacious bedrooms have en-suite facilities and are tastefully decorated & furnished with a high standard in mind. The en-suites all have modern appliances & pressurised, thermostatic showers.
We offer a varied, tasty breakfast (served between the hours of 8.00am and 9.00am) which includes a selection of cereals, fruit juices, yoghurt, fruit, teas & coffee, toast with preserves and a menu to select your choice of cooked breakfast. Breakfast can be served in either the breakfast room or on the terrace if you prefer - both of which have a lovely outlook over the sea.
We are situated in the heart of the village of Stoke Fleming, only a short walk to all the local amenities including the beach at Blackpool Sands (and the Venus cafe and restaurant, plus shop), the Green Dragon Village Inn, The Deer Park Inn, The Brill Plaice Restaurant and Stoke Fleming Village Shop and Post Office.
During your stay with us, if there is anything that you have forgotten, or indeed, anything that you think we have forgotten, we sincerely hope you will ask!
At Channel View, we recognise that leaving a valued family member with friends or in kennels when going on holiday isn’t always an option, particularly in areas such as the South Hams where there are so many beautiful walks to be enjoyed and so we welcome dogs (as opposed to accept) by prior arrangement at no additional charge.
Better still ... if your dog(s) can vouch for you, then you can come too!
We are a true definition of a “dog-friendly” establishment (and the proud owners of two beautiful Labradors).
Whilst most establishments charge to bring dogs, we currently pride ourselves on our ‘dogs go free’ policy and hope that you will appreciate this and our home, so that dogs and their well-behaved humans can enjoy this benefit for years to come.
“I would highly recommend this immaculately kept place to anyone. The room, breakfast and hospitality were all excellent. The most refreshing thing is the dog friendly approach. They are treated equally well with no rules and regulations and dog owners are left to use their common sense. Well worth a re-visit if in the area.”

“Most dog friendly B & B we've found! Dog biscuit for bedtime and a sausage for breakfast, and that was just for Sir. Lots of cuddles, and beaches to run on, the perfect holiday for dogs and their devoted servants!”
- Sue & Michaelmas
“Fantastic place to stay! Lucy is lovely - very friendly and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. Even dog biscuits in the room for my dog! My second visit and I will definitely be going back. ”

“What a find - a real nugget and I can't believe my luck that I found Channel View. The people are so friendly and the location is out of this world. When they say they love dogs on their website - they aren't joking - my girls were even cooked sausages every morning without even asking! I will definitely be returning - hopefully soon. ”
