The Ogwell Dog Trainer - Dog Trainer In Newton Abbot, Devon
I am an accredited, qualified IMDT trainer and only use kind, positive training methods.
I am passionate about dogs and dog training and my aim as a trainer is to provide clients with the knowledge and practical skills needed to have a happy and successful life with their dog. I first became qualified as a dog trainer in 2002, however I have worked with people and their dogs since 1983, looking after peoples pets in my boarding kennels so I have years of experience with all types and breeds of dog.
I am an accredited and qualified trainer, being a full member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers which means I have undergone a rigorous assessment process to meet the high standards expected of an IMDT member and abide by a strict code of ethics to ensure both Owners and Dogs training needs are met in a positive and effective way.
I continue to regularly attend workshops, seminars, talks and training courses to expand my skill set and keep my knowledge current. All the content of my training classes has been developed through years of knowledge and experience and all training methods are reward based, which is positive, kind and highly effective.

“I recently finished a six weeks puppy training course with Caroline and would definitely recommend her, the classes were kept small which meant more individual attention when needed. Caroline is very passionate about dogs and this really comes across, the classes were not only very informative but also Caroline makes them fun, I learnt so much and now have the confidence to continue with the training at home, I have just started another course on lead walking which has been brilliant so far and what a fantastic place for both indoors and outdoors training, thanks Caroline will definitely join some more classes next year for some of the other many courses you do.”

“The whole family (with puppy of course) went to puppy training classes as we realised it was really about us all learning the cues as much as the dog! We all thoroughly enjoyed our classes - Caroline is so good with the dogs, they learn very quickly using her methods and really enjoy the fun had whilst learning. We now have a very happy puppy who is an absolute pleasure to be with and we can take her anywhere with the confidence that she knows how to behave nicely wherever she is. (She is still a puppy though so we still have to hide socks, retrieve stolen trainers and remind her that the wood basket isn't actually her toy box!) I would highly recommend dog/puppy training with Caroline; my son is now doing "Trick Training" with our dog - another of Caroline's courses. Keeps both my son and puppy amused!!”
