We have renamed the rooms after Agatha Christie, Francis Drake, Napoleon Bonaparte, Isaac Singer, William of Orange, Gilbert and Sullivan, Isambard Kingdom Brunel and Horatio Nelson, all people who either lived in Torbay or added to it's prosperity in some way.
The kitchen, dining room, reception and bar are situated on the ground floor. The dining room is called The Commodore's Mess and has excellent views of Torbay where you can relax during the day and enjoy a beverage in the evenings.
“We chose the commodore for a two night stay in November as it was dog friendly. We were not disappointed, we were made very welcome as was our little rescue dog. We were given dog bowls and towels for the dog. Food was great, the location was excellent right opposite the sea front. Parking is available right outside the hotel. We would most certainly return.”
