A resplendent old hunting lodge on the edge of Dartmoor, offering an idyllic hideaway for lovers of the outdoors. Following an extensive renovation, ‘The Burrie’ features open fireplaces, cosy corners, large dining areas ideal for groups and seven brand new en-suite bedrooms. Home-cooked food and locally sourced seafood specials are the order of the day, coupled with a well-stocked bar of real ales, liveners & pick me ups.

Dine
From sumptuous suppers to long lunches, or after a long walk, our charming menu is full of joy. Our eclectic menu sees quintessential British classics rub shoulders with modern bistro dishes, as well as plenty of small plates for nibbling on with drinks.

Sundays are extra special with us. Whether a quiet perusal over the Sunday papers or somewhere for the family to get together, it is the perfect spot to enjoy one of our roasts, with all of the trimmings and lashings of gravy.

Drink
Every tipple is covered with us. Real ales, craft beers, carefully curated cocktails and a broad wine list will quench all thirsts. Oh and we’ve been told we serve a great pint of cask too, but you’ll have to come and try one to be sure! Garden Heaven
After your day exploring the local tors, our garden keeps the outdoor feel going. Plenty of sunny spots await for friends and family to get together in our spacious grounds. Stunning plants and festoon lighting set the atmosphere, but it is our wooden huts which really set it off. Make sure you come down early if you want one!
