Ellisland Farm was the family home of Robert Burns between 1788-1791.

Burns chose to build this Farm at Ellisland because of the stunning set aside the banks of the River Nith.

It is here he penned many of his greatest works including Tam o' Shanter, Ae Fond Kiss and the never to be forgotten Auld Lang Syne.

Well behaved dogs ( and their owners!) are very much welome at Ellisland.

Park for free and then enjoy the stunning circular walk along the banks of the River Nith - look out for ducks, kingfishers, dippers and if you are very lucky jumping salmon and otters.

A very warm welcome awaits you and your 4 legged friend.
