Blackaddie Country House is an award winning Restaurant with Rooms set on the banks of the beautiful river Nith in the idyllic countryside of  Dumfries & Galloway. One of the best hotels on the South West  Coastal 300, from the moment you turn onto the private driveway of this  16th century country house you can tell you are somewhere very special.

Rooms
Relax and unwind in confidence at Blackaddie. Delight in one of our six luxury ensuite rooms in the main house or in our self-contained River Suite, with french doors looking straight out over the beautiful river Nith. All recently renovated to offer you the highest level of comfort, each room has its own individual style from traditional to modern. Most rooms have a view of the river and/or a view of the garden.

Four of our seven rooms have a jacuzzi or roll top bath and a separate walk in shower.

In-room facilities include a flat-screen TV, free WiFi and tea and coffee making facilities. We provide complimentary homemade shortbread, Scottish mineral water and a fruit basket.

The hotel also has two electric car charging points available for use by guests at no charge.

Our aim For Blackaddie is to use high quality local ingredients to create beautiful dishes, enjoy in  a friendly, relaxed environment where all are welcome. 

We would like to retain the à la carte restaurant for all the food lovers and also introduce a Lounge menu for those who don’t feel that they want a full meal every day.

Dog Friendly
Blackaddie House Hotel is one of the most dog friendly hotels in Dumfries & Galloway. With such beautiful countryside walks on our doorstep, we couldn’t expect you to leave your four legged friends at home!

Most of our rooms and all of our cottages are dog friendly (maximum of two dogs per room/cottage). Your canine companion is also allowed in the public areas of the house apart from the restaurant.

You are of course welcome to bring your own, but we can provide beds, towels, treats and water bowls as required.

You have the Southern Upland Way right at the end of the drive, so no matter how far you and your dog like to walk you can do so!
