About Short Legs Wedding Day Dog Care Chris, lifelong animal lover and dog owner, established Short Legs Dog Care in 2017.  After years of experience in the hospitality and wedding industry she set up Short Legs to make special occasions carefree for couples with a furry family-member.  In 2023 she was joined by fellow dog-lover Trish, who has been a friend and colleague for more than 20 years. Trish has worked in the media industry and been an events producer for national brands. 

Trusted by more than 85 couples every year, Short Legs Dog Care is the award-winning wedding dog chaperone service that ensures your pet is cared for with professionalism and love.  Founded by Chris and joined by Trish, our service gives you complete peace of mind – we will look after your dog just as if they were our own.

From pre-ceremony walks and meals to coordinating with your photographer for perfect pictures, every element is taken care of.  We offer bespoke packages to suit your dog’s personality and needs, whether they’re joining you as ring-bearer, Hound-of-Honour, or simply being a special guest at your wedding.

Our experience means nothing is left to chance.  We will accompany your pet at your venue, provide comfort and company throughout the day, and even arrange overnight care if needed.  With Short Legs Dog Care, you can focus on your celebration, knowing your beloved dog is happy, safe, and part of your wedding day.
