Fythwyrdd Holiday Cottage is a picturesque 2 bedroom stone cottage which has recently been renovated to a high standard.
It offers accommodation for up to 7 adults and welcomes both children and dogs. With all the creature comforts of home the cottage is situated in the quiet village of Gellilydan, centrally located for all the activities that Snowdonia has to offer. There is off road parking for up to 2 cars directly opposite the cottage and more parking available on the road at the end of the track.
Mountains and lakes aside, the beautiful sand dunes and beach at Harlech, the pretty port of Porthmadog where you can catch a steam train for the day, and the adrenalin lovers' Zip World and Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog, are all just a few miles away. Even on a rainy day there will always be something to do.

Fythwyrdd’s recent renovation now sees it as a cosy 2 bedroom cottage offering home from home accommodation, welcoming children and dogs, along with their muddy boots and paws.

There is accommodation for up to 7 adults or a combination of adults and children.  It has 2 bedrooms which sleep up to 5 persons, one with a double bed, and one with bunk beds as well as a single bed.  Each of the bedrooms have a tranquil feel and allow for a restful night’s sleep after a busy day exploring  The comfortable sofa in the living room easily converts to a good size double bed to make room for the extra 2 guests or just simply allows a more flexible sleeping option for a group of individuals.  There is also a cot and high chair available on request, at no extra charge, for the really tiny people in your group.

The homely living room boasts a newly fitted log burner where you can warm your toes while your red wine breathes; perhaps toast some marshmallows or just allow your boots to dry out overnight on the hearth. It’s a bit of a hit with tired pooches too.  There is free Wi-Fi and a smart TV so you can log into your Netflix account or catch up with on demand TV.  Or you can make use of the DVD/Blue ray player, with a selection of DVDs and books available for a quiet evening in.

The brand new kitchen provides everything you might need with its underfloor heating, large fridge freezer, double oven, microwave, washer and tumble drier combined, and plenty of cupboard space for supplies to feed even the hungriest of groups.

With its underfloor heating and a large towel rail to keep your towel snug and warm for you, the bathroom offers a welcoming hot shower to help you unwind and relax or perhaps you might prefer a long soak in the bath at the end of the day instead.

We also provide a small library of OS maps and guide books available for guests to use but we ask that they are returned to the property at the end of your stay so that future guests can enjoy them too.
