Established in 2018, Remraf Pet Services is a small independent business based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. We specialise in single household, solo walks for pets that might not thrive in group situations and may find it stressful or overwhelming walking in a group. We understand all pets are individuals and offer a flexible and bespoke service to ensure we provide the highest quality care for your pets.

Teach your dog practical everyday life skills. Teach your dog to follow you so that they walk nicely by your side wherever you go, which means you can take them anywhere with you and enjoy adventures together. Teach your dog to be able to focus and pay attention to you, even with distractions, so that your dog will look to you for guidance and you can feel confident and in control in all situations. Teach your dog to settle down and relax in all environments so that they will be calm around distractions, which means you can take them to the cafe, pub or town centre with you worry free. Teach your dog to come when called reliably, no matter the distractions, so that you know they won't ignore you and run away, which means you can let them off lead to run free without a worry.

Our approach to training focuses on empowering both dogs and their guardians, always prioritising kindness and understanding. We recognise that behaviours are often a symptom of underlying feelings, so we work at your dog’s pace to uncover what may be causing these emotions. Through a custom coaching program tailored to your dog’s unique needs, we help them build confidence, manage their feelings, and develop practical skills for everyday life situations.

How positive reinforcement works. We use positive reinforcement to reward and encourage desirable behaviours, helping your dog develop new habits and an effective communication system in a stress-free and enjoyable way. This method boosts confidence and supports memory and motivation. Our training focuses on teaching your dog verbal and physical “cues,” moving away from the traditional idea of “commands.” This collaborative approach strengthens your relationship with your dog, helping you work as a true team.

How we work. We’re proud to be a member of the National Institute of Canine Ethics, meaning we only ever use force free reward based methods of training. We DO NOT condone the use of any aversive tools or techniques such as a slip lead, prong collar, head halti (or equivalent), front clip harnesses or anti bark collar. Our positive and systematic approach allows us to set you and your dog up for success to achieve lasting results in real life situations.

121 Private Dog Training provides an essential starter pack at the initial consultation. A framework for addressing behavioural issues, including specific training techniques, routines and exercises will be provided should you choose to book a program. Services include a Discovery Call, an Initial Consultation, Training Walks without owners, a Starter Deal that combines training walks with a 121 lesson, Booster Training Walks, Follow Up Sessions, and custom programs to suit your dog’s individual needs.
