Tarskavaig Bay - Dog Friendly Beach in Achnacloich, Highland
Tarskavaig Bay has a pebble beach, set in a characterful location on the Sleat Peninsula, in the south west of Skye.
With a westerly aspect, the beach has the meagre remains of an abandoned castle behind it and distant views up to the Black Cuillins in the north.
There's an elemental feel here, facing the prevailing winds and exposed to the natural conditions.
It's an invigorating and rejuvenating spot on a beautiful island.
