Glencoe Mountain Cottages - Dog Friendly Accommodation in Glencoe, The Highlands

Our two Glencoe self catering holiday cottages are wonderfully situated in a hidden valley off one of Scotland’s finest, most magnificent and historical glens. The cottages are 4 star and offer all the comforts and flexibility of home, among the spectacular and dramatic mountain scenery of Glencoe.

Sitting below some of Scotland’s highest mountains, the cottages enjoy panoramic views, including a stunning view of the Aonach Eagach Ridge and towards Bidean Nam Bian. There are numerous walks from the door, including to the Corbett Meall Lighiche and the lesser-known Munro, Sgor na h-Ulaidh.

The two cottages – Aonach and Bidean – are accessed by a one mile hard surfaced farm road off the main route through Glencoe. They enjoy complete tranquillity in a truly peaceful setting, yet are only three miles from sea lochs and the amenities of Glencoe village.

The town of Fort William is eighteen miles from the cottages and offers shopping and a wealth of activities. Oban, known as the ‘Gateway to the Isles’, is only thirty-six miles away. Glencoe Mountain Resort, with skiing, mountain biking and other activities is a 20 minute drive through the glen.

The cottages each sleep 6 and are fully equipped, bright and comfortable. We have a 5 star award from the Scottish Tourist Board for cleanliness. The views from the windows are just stunning. With no light pollution, you can enjoy star gazing across the dark night sky.

From the front door you can wander further up our peaceful glen alongside a mountain burn and enjoy beautiful scenery and a true feeling of being in the hills, even if you are not a hill walker.

The Cottages
Each cottage has three bedrooms, which sleep up to 6 people. Downstairs is a double room with a king-sized bed, and a second good sized room with adult-sized bunk beds. Upstairs is a spacious twin room. All bedrooms have wardrobe and drawer space and bedside lamps for cosy under the duvet reading! Bed linen and towels are provided at no additional cost. A cot and high-chair are available on request for our young guests. Please note that there is no Wifi in the cottage. However, there is access to Wifi at various locations in Glencoe village, approximately 2 miles down the Glen.

Our self catering holiday cottages provide you with a very comfortable ‘home away’ experience. They are bright and light and very well equipped and even include a selection of books and games for those cosy ‘stay-in’ evenings! Television, DVD and Bluetooth speaker are provided and a selection of DVDs are provided in the cottage with further ones available on request. From the living room, French doors give access to the garden.

The kitchen is very comprehensively equipped. You will find you have a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave as well as a conventional oven. Extras include a food processor and we also provide all those little items like paper towels, washing up liquid, washing powder and dishwasher tablets. Tea towels and a kitchen hand towel are supplied too. Outdoor furniture, including a barbeque, is included for those “al fresco” moments, especially during the long daylight evenings in the summer.
