By day, explore the Moray Coastal Trail, attend an event like the Nairn Games, or head to the fishmongers for locally sourced lobster. Ivy Cottage (sleeps 6 people)
Tucked away in the peaceful west end of the village, Ivy Cottage is a cosy base for countryside adventures. As soon as you walk through the striking red door, you’ll be dazzled by charming character and original features. Although you’ll feel far away from everything, you’ll only be a short stroll from the friendly Cawdor Tavern and Cawdor Castle.

Lochanshelloch Cottage (sleeps 6 people)
Close to Cawdor village, Lochanshelloch Cottage is surrounded by woodlands, rare wildlife and winding paths. Fill the gloriously long Scottish summer days seeking thrills on the Tomintoul Mountain Bike Trail, a 24 mile ramble along the Dava Way, dolphin spotting at Chanonry Point and more. Once the children are in bed, watch the sunset slowly set with a glass of wine and selection of organic cheese from Connage Dairy.

Fisherman’s Cottage (sleeps 6 people)
On the banks of River Findhorn in the Drynachan valley, Fisherman’s Cottage looks like something you’d only expect to see in a watercolour painting. With the sun glistening on the river, it’s easy to imagine a fisherman passing his time here on a long summer’s day. Try birdwatching, forage for berries, or visit Loch Ness, then indulge in a game supper – we can provide grouse, partridge, roe deer and more.

Gardener’s Cottage (sleeps 6 people)
Luxury and comfort meet the wilderness and unknown at Gardener’s Cottage. With the Highlands on your doorstep, you can explore native woodlands by bike, visit for the annual Pipe Band Championships, or pick elderberries for cordial. Or you could just make the most of the peace and quiet, sitting by the restored Victorian fireplace with a good book, a cup of tea and some chunks of Scottish tablet.

Drynachan Lodge (sleeps 22 people)
For summer holiday gatherings, memorable New Year celebrations, short Easter adventures or even intimate Highland inspired weddings, look no further than Drynachan Lodge. With 12 bedrooms, it’s easy to fit everyone – grandparents, cousins, family friends and more. Adults can catch up in the Tartan Room while children explore and teenagers do their own thing. In the evenings, everyone can feast and drink together in the dining room.

Like the sandy beaches of Nairn. ancient woodlands of Cawdor Big Wood and walking trails through Darnaway forest. Visit Chanonry Point and you might spot Moray Firth dolphins playing. Travel east along the coast to fishing villages like Findhorn, Portknockie and Cullen and you’ll see why National Geographic lists the Moray Firth in the top ten coastal destinations in the world. You wouldn’t believe Inverness Airport is just 10 minutes away.
