Westbury Lodge - Dog Friendly B & B in Shanklin, Isle of Wight

Welcome to Westbury Lodge where a warm welcome and a great breakfast awaits you! This lovely and well maintained Victorian House is situated on Shanklin Cliff, just a few minutes' walk from the Coastal Path and the Esplanade. Old Shanklin (pretty thatched restaurants and pubs) is just 10 minutes' walk away, as is "new" Shanklin - the more modern high street.

Rosemary and David took over the business early in 2020 and have quickly built a reputation for a great welcome, fantastic breakfasts and a really clean home. Your job is to relax and enjoy yourselves, our job is to look after you!

Our rooms
All of our rooms have a tea and coffee tray, bottled water, wine glasses and cork screws, hair dryer, fan and complimentary toiletries. We have 3 ground floor rooms and though we are not able to offer wheel chair access, these rooms are ideal for those who find the stairs a challenge. The remaining 5 rooms are on the first floor. Free Wi Fi is available throughout the house, including the bedrooms.

We are pet friendly and can take dogs for £15 for the stay in specifically allocated pet friendly rooms. Please call to check these are available.

Superior rooms - we have four superior rooms, three on the first floor and one on the ground floor.  Room 7, our most popular room, is classed as a Luxury Double and also offers a Nespresso coffee machine. All are spacious, light and airy and come with complimentary bathrobes. They have seating areas for you to relax. All superior rooms, other than room 7, are set up as doubles but can be turned into twins (two single beds) on request.

Breakfast
David’s delicious breakfasts are quickly becoming legendary. A good breakfast sets you up for the day and you have time to relax and enjoy it when on holiday.

We use local and seasonal produce wherever possible. Our sausages and bacon are provided by Paul Murphy, our local butcher based at It's All About Thyme in Regent Street. Bread is from Graces Bakery, milk is from Briddlesford Lodge Farm Dairy to name just a few of our local suppliers. All breakfast items are cooked fresh to order.
