Free Initial Consultation
Before you decide whether I am the right dog walker or pet-sitter for you and your pets, I visit you in your home and spend some time chatting to you about your requirements, including any special needs your pets may have, as well as information about diet, routines and personality traits.
This also gives you an opportunity to ask me about my experience, insurance. references etc.

If we both feel happy about me looking after and walking your pets, we complete a contract and information sheet with emergency and veterinary contact details plus information about your pet(s) at this point I will also give you copies of my insurance and CRB certificate.

You can then give me a key or I can come and collect it nearer the time and if necessary chat further about what is needed.

How I Believe It Works
Pets are usually much happier in their own environment, with familiar smells, sounds and their favourite places to sleep. In a cattery or kennel, not only do they have the stress of being in a strange place. with different furnishings, routines. temperatures, smells and humans but they can also pick up on the stress of other animals around them, causing extra anxiety.

Pet Sitting - Includes overnight stay and 1 hour walk plus usual things like fresh water and feeding, closing curtains, putting the bin out, collecting any post and lots of cuddles!

Your dog/pets are only left briefly though the day (max of 3 hour x2)

Puppy Sitting - Your puppy will benefit from two or more 50 minute visits a day while you are at work etc. Puppies need a lot of sleep so short visits Won't over-tire them, and having a second (or third) visit means your pup will not be left alone for long periods. Prior to vaccination we play in the house or garden, they are fed and watered, have any little messes cleared up and we help with house once vaccinated we take short Walks (starting with 10 minutes and working up to the run 30), play more games and generally have enough run so pup is happy to settle back to sleep between visits.
They will also get some basic socialisation Where possible.

Pet Taxi - Visits to the vet - If your pet needs to go to the vet etc and you're unable to take them, I can take them for you.

About Me
My own furry family are an elderly rescue German shepherd called Mabel, also Flora another rescue who is a Collie cross I've done a little agility with in the past and Ripley who is a Border terrier cross Jack Russell who keeps us all on our toes!

WagiwalksWagiwalks

I have over 45 years experience with lots of animals not just dogs, I have managed a pet shop, run a livery yard and small holding with cattle and chickens. I've had dogs all my life though and volunteered in dog rescue for many years.

Life without animals just wouldn't be me.

“Wagiwalks, Recommended 100%! I would like to thank Elaine at Wagiwalks for looking after my little boy Herbie. Herbie only has three legs and gets very anxious around other dogs, I'm very protective of him and this was the first time I've ever let anyone else take care of him, Elaine assured me he would be ok and that she'd take very good care of him, so off they went to our local park as agreed. Now rightly or wrongly I followed them to the park, but I had nothing to worry about, Elaine treated him like he was her own dog and I could see that he was loving every minute he was with her. She won't know I followed them until she reads this comment, so I would like to thank her for being a genuine animal lover and a genuine person, I couldn't ask for more! Sonia Black”

“I'm so glad I've finally found Wagiwalks I have a very timid dog called Oscar who I dearly love but he will not go to anyone other than myself, so being able to get someone to walk him seemed to be impossible, A friend mentioned Wagiwalks so I gave them a call, Elaine said she would come and visit Oscar the very next day. Imagine my surprise when Oscar went straight over to her when she came to see him! I just couldn't believe it! Elaine obviously loves animals and animals obviously know who they like, I cannot recommend her enough!”
