Cleethorpes for Dog Friendly Walks

Cleethorpes is a lovely flat (rather than hilly) seaside resort on the East Coast of Lincolnshire.

It has a dog friendly beach which is fabulous for a lovely long dog walk and has 2 dog friendly restaurants on the promenade for you to enjoy some home cooked food or a refreshing drink.

Surrounding Cleethorpes is the Town of Grimsby and lots of beautifully quaint villages.

There is a superb pack of 13 walks available to walkers which can be found either at Cedar Park Cottage in their beautiful dog friendly countryside cottages or at the Cleethorpes Tourist Information Centre.

Cleethorpes also has the Red walk, The Blue Walk and The White Walk in their "Walking and Heritage Trails"This leaflet is also available when staying at Cedar Park Cottage in their dog friendly holiday cottages.

Cleethorpes also has a beautiful Country Park with a large fishing lake and a specially designed gated swimming area for dogs. It is a lovely walk and perfect for a family picnic, with benches provided.

There are many other parks and woods in the area which are all dog friendly...

Weelsby Woods (childrens playground also available and a cafe)

Bradley Woods

Peoples Park (a duck pond and fountains and band stand with a cafe)

Hubbards Hills (a little book running through it with stepping stones and little bridges (ideal for playing "Pooh sticks")) and a Cafe (This is a 20 minute drive from Cleethorpes- but well worth the journey)

Reviews

“Country Park excellent for walking and ideal for 2 springers mad on water. A MAJOR drawback - why are the toilets not available during daylight hours. I know many people do not visit the park due to lack of toilet facilities.”
