Harley Bear's Coco Bites
We were adopted by THE most handsome Staffy boy who we called Harley. He had the sadly usual back story of abuse and neglect. When he decided we were the right family for him, we made him a promise that we would always look after him and that he would never go cold or hungry again.
We started to get to know each other and before long Harley Bear was part of the family, actually scratch that, he was the ruler of the roost, king of the castle, boss man, top dog! We started to take him for monthly grooms and were told that his coat, although full for a short haired dog, was not in the best condition. We did some research, spoke to our vet and discovered the benefits of coconut oil. What an amazing gift from nature this is!
The only problem with coconut oil is getting it out of the jar without breaking every spoon in the house so we decided to make the perfect bite size treats.
We don't want to baffle and blind people with science but we have provided some information on the health benefits of coconut oil under the "Health" page.
Coconut oil is a good fat, the kind that provides the benefits such as improvement of digestion, support of the immune system, assists with the metabolic function that assists with weight loss and, in my opinion, the two most important things, it is responsible for the improvement in the condition of skin and coats.

Our recommended daily allowance
Small dogs such as Chihuahuas, French Bulldogs, Yorkshire Terriers, Boston Terriers, Miniature Poodles and Dachshunds should be given around a 1/4 of a teaspoon of coconut oil daily. The mini hearts and tiny teddies are pawfect for these size of dogs.
Larger dogs should be given a teaspoon of coconut oil per 10lbs of weight. One teaspoon equates to one of the regular size paw treats.
Original Flavour Treats
Despite how it looks, the original flavour treats are NOT chocolate, they are Brewer's Yeast. This is rich in protein and nutrients is an ideal supplement to help to improve and maintain your animal's health. One of the main constituents is protein which is in a form that is easily digestible to many animals and can help with growth and recovery. The prebiotic nature of brewer's yeast can also help to improve gut flora and this will have a beneficial effect on any digestive ailments and can help to relieve anxiety caused by poor digestion. Brewer's yeast also contains many of the B complex vitamins as well as being a rich source of chromium. These enable your pup to breakdown and more easily digest the proteins, fats and carbohydrates in its diet thereby giving you more nutrition from the same amount of food. Brewer's yeast is often recommended by holistic vets to help strengthen dogs' immune systems.
