Eve (Norfolk Beach Bungalows) - Dog Friendly Accommodation in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk

Two beautifully appointed holiday bungalows on Norfolk's south-east coast with breathtaking sea views and a few minutes stroll to a heavenly sandy beach. Both have been refurbished in the last few years and are beautifully decorated - they are timber framed former coast-watchmen's bungalows, which have been extended and upgraded. Set along very peaceful lanes, well away from main roads, there is no traffic sounds, only the gently lulling sound of sea-birds - the perfect place to unwind and get away from the bustle of everyday life.

Eve
“Eve” is our new super dog-friendly holiday bungalow in Scratby, overlooking Scroby Sands. The name was chosen because it’s a girl’s name and a time of day - similar to “Dawn”, “Eve”’s sister bungalow in Hemsby. It has an amazing panoramic sea view and as it is directly on the east coast you can watch the sun rise over the sea from the lounge.

Eve has two cosy bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom so ideal for two couples wanting to have a holiday together, or a family; both bedrooms have 32 inch smart tvs, memory foam mattresses and lovely thick quilts. The bedrooms have a king size bed and bunk beds, with plenty of storage space - the double room has a walk-in shower, the twin-room has a bath with power-shower over. Both have a small step down with a hand rail.

The living room is a long open-plan space with a dining area and a 6-8 seater couch along one wall with two smaller sofas, a logburner, 42 inch smart tv and patio doors leading out to the garden, and a cosy conservatory with lots of board games/books/dvds if the weather isn’t so good. There is unlimited wifi and oil-fired central heating.   The kitchen is well equipped and the garage has been turned into a utility room with a second sink, washing machine/dryer and a large extra fridge/freezer. There are plenty of rugs, throws and cushions, but the floors are all tiled or wood, and the sofas are all leather which can be wiped down.

Outside there is seating at the front on a patio, and at the rear a lawned garden with a second patio area with 6 seat table/chairs/parasol. We have supplied 4 comfy deckchairs for the garden. The fence is new and solid, but is 3 feet 6 tall to maintain the sea-view, so please be aware of this when booking if you have fence-jumpers!!

The beach (dog-friendly all year) is a few minutes walk, either along the road or along an un-made lane, and has steps down to it.  There is no direct beach access from Eve.  Beyond the garden gate is a playing field, privately owned specifically for the use of residents and can be used for dog-exercising or low-key ball games etc.

The local pub (The California Tavern) is open all year round and serves meals, it has bands on on Friday/Saturday nights and is dog-friendly. There are more pubs, shops, cafes, tea rooms, a fish/chip shop, bakery and a small garden centre all within walking distance. Oasis pool is a few minutes walk away and is open to the public. We have listed restaurants/pubs that we like in a folder at the property and lots of info on what to do/activities/places to visit etc.

Thrigby Hall , famous for tigers is only 5 miles away, Great Yarmouth is 4.5 miles and Horsey Beach seal colony 8.5 miles. Scratby beach forms part of the Norfolk Coastal path which runs from Caister up to Sea Palling and beyond.

Dawn
Dawn is set along the country lane of Kings Loke, and is fully accessible via this road which is in Hemsby. The property is a detached bungalow set inside a fully enclosed and gated wraparound garden, laid to lawn with a patio area and lots of nice plants/trees.

The sea is visible from the front of the property, and is a few minutes walk across a grassy valley. It's so close that you can easily make out seals bobbing about on the surface of the sea from the sitting room windows. We also see a lot of beautiful garden birds and a fox regularly comes in the garden.
