Dog Friendly Beach in Northumberland

Perhaps the best kept secret in the UK – Northumberland’s miles and miles of golden sandy beaches are something special. Award winning for cleanness and water quality – goes without saying, but where can you build a sandcastle with a vista like this other than Northumberland?

Vast, unspoilt clean beaches stretching from Holy Island in the North to Druridge Bay in the South – all the beaches close-by to Budle Bay Croft are spectacular. Some have castles and amenities, others more isolated and less accessible.

Whatever your preference, there will be a favourite for your family – and even at peak times, virtually all of the beaches are quiet, so plenty of space to run and be free, or simply sit and contemplate.

Oh, and as if all of that is not enough, dogs are welcome ALL YEAR ROUND so lots of time to play fetch on the shore line or race up and down the dunes!

“I can not fault the facilities at Budle Bay Croft! My family and I stayed recently and we really didn't want to come home! We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we crossed the adorable little bridge. I have a baby girl and i was amazed at the attention to detail that Allison (the owner) had gone to to accomodate her, I didn't need to bring a thing for her which made my life so much easier! We loved our tour of the property from the wonderful Hope!! She was a little super star showing us the pigs and the horses! The kitchen is better equipped than mine and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud!! Everything is of the best quality and so well thought out. We are already planning our return trip next year. Perfection. ”

“Our long weekend just wasn't long enough! The accommodation is absolutely stunning, I am an interior designer so I have very high expectations of any where I stay. Every box is ticked, and the quality of all of the fittings/ fixtures and furniture makes you feel like your staying in a five star hotel. We had a lovely relaxing time just spent mainly inside the cottage, as we had brought our 89 year old grandmother away for a break, so we didn't have a chance to visit the beach. But we were perfectly happy just relaxing by the fire enjoying the peace and quiet, and small walks around the beautiful gardens. The owners made us feel extremely welcome, and they think of every single detail to make each individual guest feel very special. We are looking forward to our next visit during the summer. ”

“if you need somewhere dog, child and grown up friendly, then Budle Bay Croft is outstanding. It's close to amazing beaches but the thing that makes the difference is the standard of the accomodation. Could not fault it - beautiful decor, thoughtful touches for everyone (including the dogs), highly recommended”

“I have two very boisterous golden retrievers who absolutely love the freedom of northumberland, the fabulous coastline and amazing walks suit our needs perfectly. We especially enjoy Bamburgh and always stay at Budle Bay Croft. I highly recommend this very doggy friendly 5 star accommodation to anyone who appreciates a little luxury after a glorious days walking, a little gem in my book.”

“We go to Bamburgh every year with our dog. He loves the beach and the sand dunes and spends many a happy hour, running and splashing about. We usually stay at Budle Bay Croft and often walk to Bamburgh from there. Budle Bay Croft is a dog owners heaven, they have thought of everything, baskets, bowls, towels, etc. I even forgot to pack the bag with our dogs toys in and the owner (Allison) even provided some balls and tug toys for us. There are not many places where you can get 5 star accommodation that lets you bring your dog and that is one of the many reasons we go back year after year. Bamburgh and Budle Bay Croft = fantastic holidays for your family and pooch.”
