Boulmer - Dog Friendly Beach in Longhoughton, Northumberland
Boulmer is a small fishing village, just north of the sandy beach at Alnmouth.
Popular with holidaymakers, there is a timeless feel here and it's an ideal destination for peace and quiet.
Most of the houses have unobstructed sea views.
Although the beach is rocky, it's a short walk north to the exquisite Sugar Sands, a hidden gem. Between Boulmer and nearby Longhoughton is an RAF Naval Helicopter base, providing Air Sea Rescue cover along the coastline.
