Muttley's Walk - Dog Walkers in Newcastle, Shropshire.
Dog walking is one of the main services that Muttley's Walk provides. As a rule, I will only take a maximum of three dogs out at any one time, depending on size. However, taking two for a walk is more desirable for safety reasons and in the event that I would need to pick your dog’s up if there was ever any incidents. I will take your dog’s to a large open area so that they can have a good run and return happy and tired after their walk. I will supply water, treats and Dog Poop Bags.
Why choose us?
We have three objectives in mind when caring for your dog which makes us different than the rest of dog walkers. These objectives are:
(1) A nice steady walk in the park with your dog and allowing them to explore their surroundings while taking in the sights and smells.
(2) Always pickup your dog's waste to avoid a fine and eliminating any dangers of toxocariasis.
(3) Keeping your dog safe from any dangers, such as those that could be posed by other dogs. At Muttley’s Walk we do not take risks and if we see other dog owners walking toward us, we will pick your pet up (if its small enough) or alternatively walk the other way or cross the road.
With these three objectives in mind, you can rest assured that Muttley's Walk will take good care of your dog and provide the right kind of service for your dog. This gives you peace of mind that your dog will be cared for and will be in safe hands with Muttley’s Walk.

My name is Carl Martin, business owner of Muttley’s Walk. The reasons I became a dog care worker is because I have been brought up with dogs all my life. I started off owning Jack Russel's and I found them very lovable and easy to train. All my dogs were loyal to me, and never let me down and I’ve found that bringing dogs up the right way and training them can be a joyful experience. In the 1980’s we had our first Yorkshire Terrier and she lived to be 18 years old and we miss her dearly. After that we fell in love with Yorkie’s and our current two were purchased from a lady that had won Crufts. Holly and Lucy are very clever Yorkie’s that respond to all sorts of commands such as come, stay, sit and fetch.
After working for 35 years, I developed Osteoarthritis that stopped me from working on my knees and this caused me to finish my job in the carpet industry. Besides my second passion of going to the gym, I decided to work as a dog walker and career. The reason I decided to call my business Muttley’s Walk is because I have happy memories of watching the cartoon character from childhood and as it’s the dogs walk time, I thought it was rather fitting that the walk makes both me and the dog happy. At Muttley’s Walk we will always keep your dog safe and happy on their walk and giving you the peace of mind that your dog is in safe hands.
At Muttley's Walk we offer House visits, Pet Sitting, Dog Showering, & accompanying visits to the vet or groomers.
“Well what can I say, we've just picked our jack Russell Timothy up after a 2 day trial with Carl prior to our summer holiday. I was really anxious about leaving Timothy as he's never stayed away from us, and to my surprise Timothy has been brilliant well looked after by Carl. I would highly recommend Carl to look after your dogs whether it be walking, boarding or what ever service you need, thank you Carl. ”

“Carl looked after and walked my 4 dogs twice a day for 9 days. Carl was punctual and caring and my dogs Ria, Jazz, Rubi and Rouge were happy and became very fond of him. Will definitely be using Carl again and recommending him to my dog owner friends. The Meadows, Finney Geen, Newcastle Staffs”

“Carl has made a huge in difference in my dog’s exercise regime. He’s been taking her out regular for walks and assisting with her training. She’s now so much calmer when I return home from work. I can’t thank him enough. I look forward to continually working with him in the future. Many thanks x. 68 Noblett Road, Syned Green”

“I would highly recommend Muttleys Walks, I needed someone to walk my dog as I was going to be working long hours and didn’t want him to be on his own for a full day. I found the service to be professional and caring, I noted that my dog was always clean after his walk and treats were left for him. I had text updates when he was out walking and felt that there was a great deal of experience and understanding of the breed. I will certainly use Muttleys Walks again. Thank you.”

“I’d highly recommend Muttley’s Walk, due to increasing work commitments we have had to work more hours meaning our dog Murphy would have been left for a long period of time. Thanks to Carl Murphy now gets a long walk and that extra care and attention he needs. The little extras that are given are a lovely touch. It is obvious that Carl loves what he does and takes the care of your beloved pet very seriously. I don’t feel worried at all knowing my dog is out with Carl in fact I have great peace of mind. 39 Kingsley Street, Silverdale”

“Patch is a black & white collie dog. He needs an hour walk 3 times a week and my farther who is in his 80’s can’t get out much. Carl is doing a great job taking him out, but Patch needs time to get Carl’s trust but they will get there. Great work Carl. 1 Station Road, Silverdale”

“Missy is a Siberian Husky, she his 2 years old and full of energy. Carl takes Missy out 3 times a week and noticed a definite bond between them both. They both go for an hour walk and with the extended leash Missy gets loads of exercise. Missy looks forward to Carl coming and after the walk she has a well earned treat. A great dog walker and I highly recommend Carl for anyone out there requiring a dog carer. Full marks from me. 10 Ashenough Road, Talk Pits Share this:”

“Our dog Lily, boarded with Carl for 10 days, prior to her boarding, Lily went to Carl’s house on 3 occasions so she could get used to the environment plus we could get to see how Carl was with her, he was brilliant and when the time came to leave her, he went through her schedule of activity and eating plans, which he kept to. Lily had issues with other dogs because she has been attacked previously, she was nervous and got wound up easily at the sight of other dogs, Carl stuck to the walking plan and only met other dogs that Carl knew were good, which helped to build her confidence, it was also good that during her stay, she got to meet Carl’s 3 Yorkies. Carl sent us regular updates and videos so we could see that Lily was settled. I would definitely recommend his boarding service, a home from home experience. Keel Road, Newcastle”
