Watermeadow Lakes and Lodges offer the choice of three luxury lodges Willow, Heron and Kingfisher for self-catering holiday lettings, set in beautiful and peaceful surroundings.
All bedding and towels are provided and every effort is made to make your stay a relaxing an unforgettable experience. Coarse fishing available in lake adjacent to the lodges. Well-behaved pets are welcome. Owners are requested not to allow pets on chairs or beds and not to be left unattended in the property.
Nigel and Catherine have developed this holiday site for guests to enjoy the peace that you will find here in rural Somerset. The lakes were designed and made in 1990 and are now fully established with species such as common and mirror carp, perch, roach and tench together with water voles, badgers, water birds, kingfishers, woodpeckers, owls and so many song birds to see and hear.
Willow Lodge was built in 1997 with Kingfisher and Heron added in 1999. These lodges are designed and manufactured in Latvia and transported with each log cut to size to be slotted together one by one upon arrival to site.
North Perrott is a small picturesque rural village on the Somerset/Dorset border. The village has great amenities such as The Farm Shop providing a large range of local produce such as local eggs, bacon and mushrooms for breakfast, scrumpy cider, village cheese, bread for your scrummy Somerset Ploughman’s Lunch or freshly baked scones and cakes to make a wonderful Somerset cream tea, or if you prefer you can enjoy all these local products and eat in the café.
A short walk and you will come across North Perrott Cricket Club, perfect to relax and watch top class sport whilst enjoying a picnic and a glass of your favourite. Further afield you may wish to visit West Bay home of the ‘Broadchurch’ series to enjoy the beach, walk to Golden Gap along the Jurassic Coast or some great fish and chips from the many kiosks alongside the harbour. Ham Hill in Yeovil is a superb spot for a walk followed by refreshment in the pub or visit one of the many National Trust properties close by.
Coarse fishing is available at a cost of £6 per day or £30 per week. The lake adjacent to the lodges is available with a wide variety of coarse fish including mirror and common carp, roach, perch and rudd. access is through the small gate. Please make sure the electric fence connectors stay intact at all times due to the local otter and mink who are happy to invade the lakes and eat the fish !!
