Somerset is the perfect location for a luxury romantic holiday or mini-break and also for a gathering of friends and family as it offers the best of the English countryside, yet is two hours closer to London and the Midlands than Cornwall or South Devon. Enjoy stunning beaches, swaths of open moorland and delicious local fayer and not forgetting the world-famous ciders and ales. Somerset has a wealth of historical, cultural and family entertainment, with attractions such as medieval Dunster Castle and the fascinating Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole. The county’s rural character means it’s the perfect place to bring your dogs who will enjoy getting out and about as much as you will and they will love the fact that they have found a holiday home that truly welcomes them and not just tolerates them.
