Our Holiday Cottages are genuinely 'dog friendly', and we welcome clean and well-behaved family pets - we have dogs ourselves.  We don't put a limit on the number of dogs, as each dog and family is different.  Please note, however, that our Holiday Cottages are not suitable for large or boisterous dogs and they mustn't be left on their own in the Cottages.

Dogs Welcome

Three charming Dog-Friendly Holiday Cottages in the historic market-town of Saxmundham - just 4 miles from Snape Maltings and 8 miles from the ever-popular seaside town of Aldeburgh, on the unspoilt Suffolk Heritage Coast. Fully-equipped, 4-Star Rated homely cottages - perfect for relaxing holidays with your dog all-year round.

Choose from... Flint Cottage (sleeps up to 4 +cot), Corner Cottage (sleeps up to 4 +cot) or Chapel Cottage (sleeps up to 2 +cot) - or Book all three to accommodate up to 10 people.

All three are pretty period cottages, made of traditional Suffolk flint and date back to around 1800.  They each have many period/period-style features remaining, and these have been tastefully combined with the modern comforts and conveniences you would expect for your holiday - plus many extras!

They are all next door to each other, so ideal for friends/family groups who want to holiday together yet have their own space too.

Each are 'town cottages', so conveniently just 5 mins walk to the High Street, for shops/pubs/restaurants. Saxmundham is a small, friendly market-town providing an ideal base for relaxing holidays or short breaks, whether in summer or winter.
 
Accommodation
Inside, each Cottage is light and airey, with pleasant views from each window.
The kitchens have quaint period charm and are fully equipped for modern living - a modern cooker/oven, a fridge-freezer, a microwave, electric kettle, electric toaster, cafetiere/Tassimo coffee-maker, etc., plus plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, and useful utensils.

Each Holiday Cottage has a Dining Room/Dining Area - which comfortably seats the number of people accommodated, plus space for a highchair.  (A highchair can be provided - free of charge - by advance arrangement.

The cosy living areas all have comfortable seating, a flat-screen Digital TV (with Freeview TV Channels & Digital Radio Stations) which also plays CDs/DVDs and has BT TV and BT Sport.  There is also a small library of books and local OS maps plus card and board games in each Holiday Cottage.

The bathroom in each Holiday Cottage has a bath, with a shower over the bath, plus a handbasin, a toilet, and a shaver-point. Large soft towels are also provided!

The spacious bedrooms have comfortable beds - each with four pillows, a seasonal duvet, and cotton bedlinen.  Each bedroom has a clothes-hanging area/wardrobe and plenty of drawer-space, plus a hairdryer.  A travel-cot can be provided - free of charge - by advance arrangement.
There are also Laundry facilities available, plus an iron and ironing board.

Location
All three of the Holiday Cottages are  just 500 yards from the town, where you'll find a wide range of interesting shops and galleries to browse around, plus two large supermarkets (a Waitrose and a Tesco - both open 7 days).  There are also several pubs, cafes, and restaurants; a Vet, and a pet shop.
A Farm Shop, selling a wide range of local produce, is just 1 mile out of town - plus there are several regular Farmers' Markets held locally.

All Season Cottage Breaks

There are also very good country pubs in the outlying villages, serving locally brewed real ales and home-cooked food made from locally sourced seasonal ingredients, plus several excellent restaurants and gastro-pubs in the area for the gourmet.  Almost all Suffolk Pubs are 'Dog-Friendly'!

Ideal base for exploring the unspoilt Suffolk coast and countryside and the county's popular towns, villages and attractions during a summer holiday or a winter break.  Dogs are allowed on some beaches all year round - details are in the Information Folder at each Holiday Cottage.

Within 30 mins drive of most of the popular places of interest - the sandy beach, pier, and harbour at Southwold; the popular coastal town of Aldeburgh; the pretty riverside town of Woodbridge, plus Thorpeness, Halesworth, Framlingham, Orford, Walberswick, Snape Maltings... There is so much to see and do in the area, you'll want to come back time and time again!
The gently undulating terrain makes it a perfect location for walking.  Your dog will love dog-walks in Suffolk!
Just 45 mins drive to Flatford Mill in Dedham Vale - 'Constable country'! (stand at the place where the quintessentially English painter, John Constable, painted the famous 'Haywain').

Days out can include the historic towns of Bury St. Edmunds, Cambridge, Norwich, or Ipswich.
Bus/train services to most popular towns - so a car isn't essential.  Dogs are allowed on (most) Public Transport in Suffolk.
Direct rail service from London-Liverpool Street to Saxmundham (journey-time approx 90 mins) - making the Cottages perfect for Short-Breaks too. The station is only 250 yards from all of the Cottages, but don't worry - there's no train noise inside the cottages!
