Fox Cottage - Dog Friendly Accommodation in Helmsley, Yorkshire

Welcome to Fox Cottage in Helmsley, North Yorkshire. Beautifully renovated in 2013, this Grade II listed cottage is situated a short stroll from the picturesque market square. Retaining much of its original eighteenth century character, it features beamed ceilings, an open fire and lots of period charm. Accommodating up to four people, the cottage is wonderfully cosy but there are one or two low doorways. It is well equipped, attractively decorated and furnished to a high standard. Fox Cottage is conveniently located in one of the prettiest and well-loved rural towns in the country.

Location
Idyllically situated amongst rolling countryside on the edge of Ryedale, Helmsley has an Arts Centre which hosts several themed events throughout the year, five acres of walled gardens set beside the backdrop of Helmsley Castle and Duncombe Park, a beautiful historic house and country estate. The area is popular with walkers - the town is the start of the Cleveland Way, a 110 mile walk which skirts the North York Moors National Park and finishes on the Brigg at Filey. The Heritage Coastline is within an easy drive over the heather clad moors and the popular towns of Pickering, Malton, Thirsk, Scarborough, Whitby and York are all within easy reach.

Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are permitted at Fox Cottage by prior arrangement. The small back garden is enclosed. I would be most grateful if you would clean up after your dog in the garden and in the village and not allow them on unprotected furniture. Dog waste should be bagged before putting it in the green garden bin. Our only stipulation is that dogs are not allowed upstairs in the cottage.
