Pickering Dog Field - Secure Dog Exercise Field in PIckering, Yorkshire

Following the popularity of our sister fields, Ryedale Dog Field and Railway Dog Field based just outside Malton, we have been looking for opportunities to set up similar facilities in different areas of Ryedale to bring the benefits of a secure dog field close to people within the area.

Just a mile out of Pickering we have created two dog fields, each an acre in size and enclosed with a 7' fence.  A 12' wide entrance gate on each field allows vehicular access into the field where you will find some optional play equipment, a field shelter with bench and hard standing for parking.

Appointments are 50 minutes per session for a maximum of 7 dogs, each one starts on the hour and the person booking the appointment will have sole use of the field (unless of course you choose to invite friends along!).

Field Rules
We are delighted to be able to offer the use of Pickering Dog Fields to the local community to use with your dogs more or less however you wish.  As well as exercising your dog you are welcome to bring your dog trainer or behaviourist during your appointment.  The secure, yet freedom feel of the field provides the ideal location to train and teach your dog safely.

There are however a few rules we ask you all to abide by in order to make using the field a pleasant experience for everyone and canine friends:

You must only use the field if you have booked a time slot.
Appointments start on the hour and are strictly 50 minutes. This is to ensure the entrance to the fields are completely clear and prevent causing congestion onto or off the road.
Your timeslot does include getting your dog(s) back into your vehicle/away from the field to prevent interference with the next user.
You must pick up after your dog, a bin is provided to dispose of poo bags.
You may amend your booking up to an hour prior to your appointment. You will not be issued with a refund, but book another time slot to suit you.
Please note there are no toilets available on site.
Please note there is no water available on site.
Please make sure you have read the Terms & Conditions prior to using Pickering Dog Fields.
Please use common sense and act with consideration for other members.

With regards to bio-security the risks of using the field is the same as going for any other normal dog walk.  We cannot guarantee that all dogs exercised in the field have been vaccinated.  Equally the same applies for natural issues such as ticks and grass seeds.

Please take care when using Pickering Dog Fields, the ground maybe uneven in places.
