The Hotel
Wentbridge House dates from 1700 and is set in 20 acres of gardens and grounds in the beautiful Went Valley in West Yorkshire. Steeped in history and surrounded by century-old trees, Wentbridge House is a hidden gem and provides a relaxed and peaceful setting within easy reach of Doncaster, Wakefield, Leeds, York and Pontefract.
Wentbridge House Hotel is independently owned and run with a great deal of care and dedication, ensuring the warm welcome, service and restful atmosphere you would expect of a luxury country house hotel. Wentbridge is perfect for short breaks, perhaps with a visit to a historic house, celebrations, wedding receptions or simply lunch or dinner in one of our award-winning restaurants. The location, just off the A1 and four miles south of the A1/M62 interchange makes it so easy to drop in as you're passing.

Wentbridge House is a beautiful Georgian Country House offering luxurious accommodation within close proximity to Pontefract, Wakefield, Doncaster and Leeds. Surrounded by 20 acres of gardens and grounds in the Went Valley, Wentbridge is a true West Yorkshire boutique hotel combining the restful atmosphere, charm and character associated with a superb Country House with the modern facilities expected by our guests today.
Each of the 41 bedrooms are individually designed and decorated with sizes and styles to suit everyone - from standard double bedrooms which are ideal for shorter stays to classic English Four Poster bedrooms and luxurious Suites. Not all rooms are dog friendly.
All our bedrooms benefit from luxury hand-made pocket sprung mattresses, duck down pillows (alternatives can be supplied on request) and Egyptian cotton sheets so you can drift away for a perfect night's sleep. Take a long soak in a bath filled with luxurious Molton Brown bathroom products or keep in touch with the office via the Wi-Fi connection, provided free of charge throughout all areas of the hotel. You'll also find we look after you with complimentary mineral water, a newspaper delivered to your door and free use of the local Fitness Flex gym (located 10 minutes away by car) throughout your stay with us.
Dog Friendly
At Wentbridge House we appreciate that well-behaved dogs deserve to have a break just as much as their owners. That's why we‘ve set aside some dog friendly rooms, allowing you to bring your four-legged friend long to share the enjoyment of your stay.
For a small supplementary charge of £20 (per dog per night), you and your dog can stay in one of our specially chosen ourtyard bedrooms which provide quick and easy access to the outside. We try to make all of our guest dogs as welcome as our human guests, providing them with their own drinking bowl and some lovely doggy treats - all included in the price. We do ask that you don't leave dogs in your bedroom unattended.
The village of Wentbridge is set in some beautiful countryside that you and your dog can explore and enjoy together. We even have the Wentbridge Walk; a gentle 8km stroll that begins at the hotel, before taking in the Went Valley and the nearby Brockdale Nature Reserve. All dogs are welcome to stay in accordance with our terms and conditions.

The Wentbridge Brasserie is a little less formal and is ideal for delicious dining in stylish and contemporary surroundings. The Brasserie is open for all day dining every day from and is perfect for morning coffee, ladies lunches, informal business dining or just a relaxing dinner overlooking the gardens.
Traditional Afternoon Teas are still a favourite and are served at Wentbridge every day from 2.30pm until 5.00pm. A perfect way to relax after a hard day's shopping in Leeds!
