Pet Dilemmas - Dog Training in Coulsdon, London

Pet Dilemmas offer a range of different services from group classes with set curriculum designed to teach your dog to become a well behaved and well-mannered member of society, to one to one home visits tailored to suit exactly what you and your dog need at home or out and about!

Our Group training classes include puppy training and socialization and also adolescent classes to perfect and strengthen those basic puppy exercises and more.



We use only reward-based training techniques geared to get your dog to use their brain to work out what is required of them using whatever is fun for them and motivating.

If you would like to work on a specific behaviour problem such as jumping up, pulling on the lead or coming when called off lead then one to one training can be tailed to suit exactly what you need.



One to One Training
Why not have a customised set of one to one training sessions to help you with specific problem behaviours or just to teach some fun new things to your dog.
I usually advise a set of four sessions to get the best out of the training. This way you have time to practice in between sessions and progress the training with your dog ready to build on what has been learned at each session.

Dog Boarding School
What is a Dog Boarding school? If you need some basic training for your dog but cannot commit the time to do it yourself or if you want boarding for your dog with a little extra thrown in then this is the service for you. Your dog would stay with us for a minimum of 2 weeks and learn up to 4 new skills during their stay.



Examples of such skills would be:
Sit, lay down, stand up - Stay still until told to move - Sit to greet instead of jumping up
Walking on a loose lead - Come when called - Walk to heel

Every day your dog will have 2 dedicated 1 hour training sessions to learn their new skills. They would then receive ongoing training opportunities throughout the day to put their new skills into practice in the real world.

Each dog must have a behaviour assessment and be accepted for boarding school before a booking can be made. booking in advance is essential as I do not take more than one boarding school pupil at a time. you must be prepared to have a 2 hour hand over when you collect your dog and follow the continuing education at home to maintain the skills your dog has learnt.



Puppy Stuff
Bringing up a puppy to become a good member of the community is vital. We want our dogs to be welcome in new places we might take them too.
We run puppy training classes in Coulsdon which will give you the tools you need to get your puppy off to the best start. the course is 4 weeks long usually on a Thursday evening. Please see below for future dates for classes coming up.
